Stars Summits Program Healthy America Kids – Stars Council

 The Stars Summits are quarterly gatherings that unite academic leaders and student changemakers from across the nation to collaboratively advance the Healthy America Kidsmission. Hosted at rotating university campuses, each two-day summit is a catalyst for shaping the next generation of health leaders—equipped with knowledge, connections, and purpose. 

These summits are the strategic engine behind the Stars Council, bringing together top-tier students in health sciences, fitness, nutrition, and wellness with the guidance of their university’s academic advisor or program coach. Together, these teams design, develop, and deploy innovative youth health initiatives that will be implemented nationwide. 

Program Purpose The Stars Summits serve to: 

-Convene leading undergraduate student teams, their academic advisors, and guest faculty from universities aligned with HAKS 

-Plan and develop regional and national youth wellness initiatives under the Healthy America Kids banner

-Collaborate with industry experts, partners, and HAKS-affiliated organizations for real-world insights and mentorship 

-Create action plans that translate ideas into measurable impact in schools, sports leagues, and community centers  Each summit is driven by the goals of Healthy America Kids: building a healthier future through preventive care, fitness education, and wellness leadership. 

Who Participates 

-Stars Council Members – Undergraduate students pursuing 

degrees in health sciences, nutrition, fitness, wellness coaching, and related fields 

-Academic Advisors/Coaches – Faculty leaders guiding the planning, research, and execution of student-led initiatives

-HAKS Partners & Speakers – National experts, mentors, and representatives from organizations such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association, American Nutrition Association, and more 

-Community Stakeholders – Invited school officials, youth organizations, and local partners to align community impact efforts  

What Happens at a Summit 

Each Stars Summit includes: 

Day 1: Inspiration & Strategy 

-National keynote and HAKS vision briefing 

-Interactive panels with wellness industry leaders 

-Team workshops focused on local implementation strategies  

Day 2: Planning & Action 

-Guided planning sessions with academic advisors 

-Presentation of proposed initiatives for feedback 

-Network building and resource exchange   

Summits are also recorded and documented, with a shared playbook distributed to all participants to help scale successful programs across the country.

The Stars Summits are more than meetings—they are launchpads for leadership. By integrating real-world health challenges, academic expertise, and cross-sector collaboration, Stars Council members become pioneers in youth health transformation.
